Check published supply by city and type first
- OceanBox publishes a dated inventory with location, container type, condition, transaction method, and ETA or depot notes: live inventory, availability by type and city, and the supply distribution report.
- Listings can include expected arrivals. A listing is not confirmed ready-to-collect stock. Availability is confirmed in the written quote.
- Keep each exact type code on a multi-line request. Door arrangements are not interchangeable. For example, 40HCOS-4D is not the same request as 40HCOS, and 20OS2Doors is not the same request as 20FOS.
How a multi-unit, multi-city quote works
- Send one request listing, per line: exact type code, condition, quantity, city or depot, and required date. The request worksheet separates fixed requirements from acceptable alternatives.
- OceanBox confirms availability and the unit specification for each line in one written USD quote. One quote can cover multiple cities and container types.
- Compare offers with the quote comparison guide. Buyers arrange their own inland trucking and pickup from the depot.
- For confirmed in-stock units, depot release is typically issued within one business day after payment confirmation. Release is collection at the depot, not delivery. See the pickup guide.
In-stock purchases have no minimum order quantity.
When the stock you need is not listed
Factory production orders from China are available for new containers. Standard containers have no minimum order quantity. Special containers have a minimum order of 10 units. Production lead time is not fixed; it is confirmed in writing for each order.
Leasing
Container leasing is available for buyers in the United States and Canada. Equipment and term are confirmed in a written USD quote.
